IAR 212: Exploration of Design Software

This semester and last semester we have begun to dip our feet into design software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino, Autocad, and Sketch up. It really takes time to learn these programs more than anything and sometimes although they are very difficult it can be very rewarding to see a final project and think "Hey, I just produced that!" Especially for me anyway because I have never been technologically savvy. Through the exploration of these software programs there are many things that I would love to further learn and explore in them.  For example, I really love autocad.  It took me awhile to get use to it but in the end I found it enjoyable.  I would like to explore 3D modeling through autocad and also more on Rhino. I have always been told that these programs are more professional than sketch up, however, through my exploration of sketch up last week I found that it is quite simple and a great way to do a quick sketch model graphically.  I would like to further explore working with it as a 3D modeling program and actually make architectural structures within the program. I really favor Illustrator over Photoshop so I would really like to just become more familiar and comfortable with Photoshop.
